Application of Electrometer Detection Circuit -- HVFR Series Reed Relay

Details
In addition to other applications, the electrometer is also used in radiation detection in nuclear physics experiments, where radiation passing through a gas bottle ionizes the gas in contact with it. The ionization generates ultra-small currents, which are detected and amplified by an operational amplifier, and then quantified for early warning of radiation levels.
However, semiconductor devices usually have excessive capacitance, which can "drown" these small signals; mechanical relays have too much leakage current, and the thin film on the contacts must be destroyed to allow current to pass, thus not generating small signals; the only switch applicable in this environment is the reed relay. The latest HVFR-HI series relays designed by Mikolai Company are just right for this application.
The HVFR series high insulation relays have the following advantages:
1. Excellent insulation performance, with insulation resistance up to 100Tohm, providing good isolation, which traditional mechanical relays cannot achieve.
2. Contacts are completely sealed, unaffected by dust or moisture corrosion, making the product suitable for some harsh testing environments.
3. Special contact materials make the HVFR-HI particularly suitable for switching control (signal switching) of weak currents from the collection end.
4. Has a certain withstand voltage capability, with breakdown voltage up to 3KVDC.
5. High reliability and long lifespan (billions of operations).
6. Compact structure and small size, can be installed in limited spaces, very suitable for miniaturized devices.
7. Multiple contact forms available (standard products have 1-4 channels) for selection.
