However, to perform this electronically, high voltage, high current, and relatively high operating frequency are required, which poses additional electric shock issues for patients, nurses, and doctors. Therefore, high reliability and high safety are key to the success of electronic surgery, and medical equipment designers have chosen MiRelay's high-voltage reed relays to accomplish these two tasks.
The HVR series high-voltage reed relay has a maximum contact switching voltage of 10kV, a breakdown voltage of up to 20kV, a contact switching current of 3A, and a maximum load current of 5A. It features various contact forms and can be installed using PCB through-hole or high-voltage leads, making it ideal for high-voltage environments. Its operating time is 3ms, and release time is 1.5ms, allowing for a rapid response to control signals. This series of reed relays is encapsulated in epoxy resin, with an insulation resistance of 10^12Ω, a creepage distance of over 32mm, and excellent reliability, suitable for medical devices such as defibrillators and high-frequency electrosurgical devices.
